The GE IC660BBD022 I/O block is a 16-circuit enabled source block from GE Fanuc, operating at 24 Volts DC. It supports 2-wire and 3-wire sensors with a load current of 2 Amps. The block can be easily configured as a sensor or actuator device, and includes features such as output power default, selectable input filter time, and output pulse test capability for flexible industrial applications.
The IC660BBD022 is equipped with diagnostic and safety measures to alert operators of runtime and operational errors. It can detect overload, overtemperature, short circuit, no-load, and failed switch conditions. The front of the block has 16 configurable I/O circuits, along with I/O Enabled and Unit OK LEDs. A monitoring port allows connection to a hand-held programmer or a personal computer running Windows for convenient system management.
This compact, portable block saves panel space with dimensions of 8.83 x 3.56 x 4.42 inches. It dissipates 68.8 Watts of heat when all outputs draw 2 Amps, produces a maximum ripple of 10%, and supports a maximum switching frequency of once per second with a high inrush current. The output turn-on delay is up to 1 millisecond, and the ambient operating temperature should not exceed 60°C, ensuring safe and reliable operation in industrial environments.
