Overview Manuals Common Applications Product Precautions
Bently Nevada 330104-03-06-05-02-00 is an armored, forward-mount 3300 XL 8 mm proximity probe with an M10 x 1 thread, 30 mm unthreaded section, 60 mm case and 0.5 m lead. The standard-cable -02 option uses a miniature coaxial ClickLoc connector without an installed connector protector.
  • Senses the conductive target without mechanical contact
  • Protects the cable route with an armored build
  • Retains the CableLoc lead attachment system
  • Supports separately fitted connector protection

A matched extension cable and Proximitor Sensor convert probe response into static gap and dynamic displacement information. The monitoring application depends on the assembled transducer system, not the probe alone.

Important Notice: Armor is not a substitute for connector sealing or FluidLoc containment. Keep the installed target calibration, cable routing and total electrical length unchanged during replacement.

Fluid-film bearing monitoring
Supplies the sensing element for radial shaft-displacement measurement in an engineered 3300 XL system.
Armored cable routing
Supports a documented cable route where the armored probe construction is required.
Axial gap measurement
Measures separation from the conductive target through the matched Proximitor signal chain.
Metric forward-mount renewal
Preserves the specified exposed section and case identity in the existing mounting position.
Read the Bently Nevada transducer instructions before work. Verify 330104-03-06-05-02-00, its armored metric mounting position and matched sensing chain before replacement.
1
Keep the exact metric mounting geometry and armored construction.
2
Put the machine in its approved maintenance state before adjustment.
3
Inspect the cable route without treating armor as an internal fluid barrier.
4
Match combined electrical length to the selected Proximitor Sensor.
5
Keep the conductive target and its calibration basis unchanged.
6
Finger-tighten two XL ClickLoc interfaces until the connection locks.
7
Fit suitable connector environmental protection separately.
8
Verify final static gap and the configured monitoring response.

Technical notes

Technical notes

Retain the 03-06 metric mounting geometry and protect the exposed connection separately from the armored cable. Match the combined probe and extension electrical length to the installed Proximitor Sensor and target calibration.

FAQS

  • Why must the 03-06 mounting combination be retained?
The 30 mm unthreaded section and 60 mm overall case define this forward-mount geometry. An M10 x 1 thread alone does not establish that a replacement preserves the installed exposed section.
  • What distinguishes this short lead in a continuity check?
Center-to-outer-conductor resistance is 7.45 ± 0.50 ohm. This probe-lead reference must not be replaced by the value for a longer lead or an extension cable.
  • Does the armored build also provide FluidLoc containment?
No. Armor protects the cable externally; the -02 selection specifies standard cable. Internal fluid-migration containment is a separate FluidLoc cable construction.
  • Can the all-XL calibration be reused unchanged with a different target material?
The normal factory calibration is based on AISI 4140 steel. Another conductive material needs the corresponding calibration basis rather than an unchanged all-XL accuracy assumption.
  • How is the exposed ClickLoc joint protected on this configuration?
The -02 connector has no factory-installed protector. Separate environmental protection can be fitted; armor does not seal the connector joint.
