Overview Manuals Common Applications Product Precautions
The 3300/01-01-00 serves as the baseline, legacy version of the System Monitor for 3300 series racks. It handles core monitoring tasks including setpoint calibration, manual resets, OK relay control, and Keyphasor signal processing, while operating entirely without serial communication capabilities.
    • Monitors 3300 backplane DC levels
    • Handles rack-wide resets
    • Conditions dual common Keyphasor transducer signals via hardwired rear contacts
The 3300/01-01-00 serves as a core component of the Bently Nevada 3300 machinery protection system, occupying the dedicated first slot position on the main rack backplane immediately adjacent to the power supply module. Within the entire rack circuit, it does not directly interface with vibration, displacement, or temperature sensors to acquire raw field data, but instead functions specifically as the common signal coordination hub for the complete monitoring framework.

This hardware is responsible for continuously tracking and verifying the bus power supply status of the internal rack backplane, reading multiple internal rack bus levels including the positive and negative supply voltages in real time. When all backplane power distribution levels fall within the normal operating range, the green 'SUPPLIES OK' light-emitting diode on the front panel remains lit; once a drop is detected on any internal voltage rail, this indicator turns off and outputs an alarm signal through the common safety relay at the rear termination terminals.

Petroleum Refining
Coordinating protection systems for large centrifugal compressors in refining units.

Petrochemical Industry
Maintaining common alarm logic for the "Big Three" compressor trains in ethylene plants.

Steel & Metallurgy
Managing the System OK signal for large monitoring systems of blast furnace blowers.

Air Separation
Acting as the central management unit in protection systems for large air compressors and expanders.

Pulp & Paper
Coordinating the reset function for large bearing monitoring systems in the paper machine dryer section.

Water & Wastewater
Managing common relay outputs for monitor racks at large municipal water pumping stations.
The module must be installed exclusively in Slot 1 (the leftmost slot) of the 3300 rack. Incorrect placement will cause rack failure and potential backplane damage. This module manages the Common System OK relay. If the module is removed or fails, the OK circuit will break, which might trigger unintended interlock actions in your control system (DCS).The relay contacts are generally intended for low-current signaling to a DCS or PLC. Do not use them to drive high-current trip coils directly, as this may burn out the contacts.

FAQS

  • What is the primary role of the 3300/01-01-00?
Its primary role is to monitor the power and operational integrity of the entire 3300 rack and provide system-wide reset and Keyphasor conditioning.
  • What is the 3300/01-01-00?
It is the System Monitor for the Bently Nevada 3300 series rack.
  • How is the 3300/01-01-00 used?
It must be installed in the leftmost slot (Slot 1) of the 3300 rack. It does not connect to probes directly but communicates with all other monitors in the rack via the backplane.
  • What is the purpose of the RESET button on the 3300/01-01-00?
It is used to manually clear latched alarms across all monitors in the rack, provided the machine conditions have returned to normal.
  • What does it mean if the OK LED on the 3300/01-01-00 is off?
This indicates a serious system fault, such as module failure, power supply issues, or backplane connection problems.
