Information

Information

Overview Manuals Common Applications Product Precautions
The LCM-320 provides an addressable signaling line circuit for compatible NOTIFIER ONYX Series control panels and communicates loop-device status to the host system.
  • One SLC per LCM-320
  • Supports one LEM-320 expander
  • 24 V DC nominal operation
  • 50 ohm maximum loop resistance

The LCM-320 operates as a plug-in loop interface with degraded-mode support and a maximum published module current of 130 mA. In NFS-3030 and NFS2-3030 systems, up to five LCM-320 modules and five associated LEM-320 expanders can provide ten SLCs. Field wiring length, conductor size, current and topology must follow the approved fire-alarm design.

Important Notice: Confirm the LCM-320 marking, panel compatibility, SLC topology, conductor size and approved device schedule before installation.

ONYX Series SLC
Addressable signaling-line-circuit control in a compatible NOTIFIER ONYX fire alarm control panel.
Expanded loop capacity
A documented LEM-320 can add a second SLC to each installed LCM-320.
NFS-3030 systems
Multi-loop architecture using up to five LCM-320 modules and five associated LEM-320 expanders.
Service replacement
Like-for-like restoration where the panel database, loop topology and device schedule are preserved.
Read the applicable NOTIFIER instructions before work. Verify LCM-320 and the installed system configuration before isolation or replacement.
1
Record the complete LCM-320 marking, panel slot and SLC assignment before work.
2
Place the fire alarm system under the approved impairment and safe-work procedure.
3
Back up the panel database and record loop devices, addresses and current loading.
4
Verify conductor size, topology and total loop resistance against the approved design.
5
Remove operating power before installing or removing the plug-in module.
6
Confirm any LEM-320 expansion and interconnection before restoring the panel.
7
Test every affected loop device, fault indication and degraded-mode response.
8
Document acceptance results and restore the fire alarm system to normal service.
