Overview Manuals Common Applications Product Precautions
The 330104-01-04-15-02-05 is an 8mm reverse-mounted eddy current probe from the 3300 XL series manufactured by Bently Nevada. It is a key front-end sensor in rotating machinery condition monitoring systems, used to measure shaft vibration, displacement, or rotational speed.
    • One 3300 XL 8 mm probe
    • One 3300 XL extension cable
    • One 3300 XL Proximitor Sensor
The 3300 XL 8 mm system delivers the most advanced performance in our eddy current proximity transducer systems. The standard 3300 XL 8 mm 5-meter system also fully complies with the American Petroleum Institute’s (API) 670 Standard for mechanical configuration, linear range, accuracy, and temperature stability. All 3300 XL 8 mm proximity transducer systems provide this level of performance and support complete interchangeability of probes, extension cables, and Proximitor sensors, eliminating the need to match or bench calibrate individual components. Each 3300 XL 8 mm Transducer System component is backward compatible and interchangeable with other non XL 3300 series 5 mm and 8 mm transducer system components. This compatibility includes the 3300 5 mm probe, for applications in which an 8 mm probe is too large for the available mounting space.

Oil & Gas
Installed via housing to monitor radial vibration online and prevent surge risks.

Power Generation
Measuring axial thrust position to ensure bearing oil film clearance remains within safety limits.

Hydraulic Engineering
Monitoring runout of upper and lower guide bearings to detect shaft misalignment.

Air Separation
Monitoring vibration spectra of high-speed rotors to identify blade damage or fouling.

Paper & Pulp
Monitoring micron-level displacement of support bearings in high-temperature and humid environments.

Natural Gas
Enabling automated alarms and trip interlocks for remote unmanned units.

When using the 330104-01-04-15-02-05 reverse mount probe, the priority is to ensure mechanical alignment with the probe housing and precisely calibrate the installation gap via the Proximitor’s output voltage (typically set at -10Vdc) to maintain the linear center. Due to its reverse-threaded design, ensure even torque during installation and confirm the ClickLoc connector is securely locked without over-bending the cable. Additionally, verify that the shaft material matches the calibration standard (4140 steel) and regularly inspect the housing seals to prevent oil or moisture ingress, which could lead to signal failure.
