Warranty Policy

Last Updated: July 23, 2026

Apter Power provides a standard 12-months return-to-base warranty on products supplied by us, unless a different warranty period is expressly stated in the quotation, order confirmation or invoice.

The warranty period begins on the date the product is dispatched by Apter Power.

1. What the Warranty Covers

The warranty covers functional defects that occur during normal and appropriate use of the product.

Where technically practicable, products are visually inspected and functionally tested before dispatch. The level of testing may vary depending on the product type, age, condition and available test equipment.

The warranty applies to products sold as:

Factory New;
New Surplus;
Refurbished or Reconditioned;
Used; or
Service Exchange.
The exact product condition will be stated in the quotation or order confirmation.

2. Initial Faults

If a product is found to be faulty within 14 calendar days of delivery, contact Apter Power immediately.

After the product has been returned and inspected, we will give priority to providing an equivalent replacement. If a suitable replacement is unavailable, Apter Power may offer a repair or refund.

3. Warranty Remedies

For a valid warranty claim, Apter Power may, at its discretion:

Repair the product;
Replace it with the same model;
Provide an equivalent product of the same condition or better; or
Refund the purchase price of the affected product if repair or replacement is not reasonably available.

Replacement products may be repaired, refurbished or equivalent-condition products. Any material difference will be explained before shipment.

4. How to Make a Warranty Claim

Before returning any product, contact your Apter Power account manager or email sales13@apterpower.com

Please provide:

Company and contact name;
Invoice or order number;
Manufacturer and part number;
Product serial number, where available;
Description of the fault;
Installation and operating conditions;
Clear photos or videos showing the problem; and
Details of any diagnostic tests already completed.

Apter Power will issue a Return Material Authorization number, or RMA number, if the return is approved.

The product must be dispatched within 14 calendar days after the RMA is issued. Unauthorized returns may be rejected.

5. Warranty Exclusions

The warranty does not cover problems caused by:

Incorrect installation, wiring or configuration;
Misuse, abuse, negligence or improper storage;
Operation outside the manufacturer’s rated specifications;
Electrical surges, contamination, moisture, excessive heat or vibration;
Accident, impact or transportation after delivery;
Unauthorized repair, alteration or disassembly;
Normal wear, consumable items or batteries unless expressly covered;
Missing, altered or mismatched serial numbers;
Software, firmware or licensing incompatibility;
Failure to follow the original manufacturer’s instructions; or
Use in prohibited or safety-critical applications.

Compatibility with the customer’s system remains the customer’s responsibility unless Apter Power expressly confirms compatibility in writing.

6. Manufacturer’s Warranty

Apter Power is an independent supplier and is not an authorized distributor or representative of the manufacturers shown on this website.

The original manufacturer’s warranty or technical support is not included unless it is expressly confirmed in writing in the quotation or order confirmation.

7. Warranty Shipping Costs

The customer may be required to prepay return shipping.

If Apter Power confirms that the product is defective and covered by warranty, Apter Power may reimburse reasonable standard return shipping costs or provide an approved shipping method. Apter Power will pay the standard cost of shipping a warranty replacement to the original delivery address.

Expedited shipping, customs charges and unauthorized carrier costs are not reimbursable unless approved in writing.

Warranty FAQ

How long is the Apter Power warranty?
The standard warranty is 12 months from the dispatch date unless your quotation or order confirmation states otherwise.

Must I return the faulty product?
Yes. Apter Power must inspect the product before approving a repair, replacement or refund.

Does Factory New mean the manufacturer’s warranty applies?
Not automatically. The manufacturer’s warranty applies only when expressly stated in writing.

Can I obtain an immediate replacement?
We prioritize urgent requests, but replacement depends on stock availability and approval of the warranty claim.

Does the warranty cover installation labour or production losses?
No. The warranty applies to the affected product and does not normally cover installation, removal, downtime or consequential losses.
Return and Refund Policy

Last Updated: July 23, 2026

No product may be returned without prior written approval and a valid Return Material Authorization number.

1. Faulty Products

A product may be returned under the Warranty Policy if it develops a covered fault during the applicable warranty period.

Contact Apter Power as soon as the fault is identified. After inspection, Apter Power may repair, replace or refund the product in accordance with the Warranty Policy.

2. Incorrect, Damaged or Incomplete Deliveries

Inspect all packages immediately after delivery.

Visible transport damage should be recorded on the carrier’s delivery receipt. Where possible, refuse delivery of a visibly damaged package.

Notify Apter Power within five calendar days of delivery if:

The package arrived damaged;
A product or accessory is missing;
The wrong part was supplied; or
The quantity does not match the packing list.

Keep the product, external carton, internal packaging and shipping label. Send clear photos of the packaging and affected product so that a carrier claim can be submitted.

3. Non-Faulty Returns

Requests to return a correctly supplied, non-faulty product must be made within 14 calendar days of delivery.

Non-faulty returns are reviewed individually and are not automatically accepted. If approved:

The product must be unused and in the condition supplied;
All packaging, manuals, cables and accessories must be included;
The product must be returned under a valid RMA;
The customer is responsible for return shipping; and
A restocking fee of up to 20% may be deducted.

Specially sourced, configured, repaired, service-exchange, factory-ordered or customized products may be non-cancellable and non-returnable unless defective.

4. RMA Procedure

To request an RMA, provide:

Customer and company name;
Invoice or order number;
Part number and serial number;
Reason for return;
Description of any fault;
Photos or videos where applicable; and
A list of included accessories.

Once issued, the RMA is valid for 14 calendar days. The RMA number must appear on the shipping label or outer shipping carton. Do not write directly on the original manufacturer’s box.

5. Return Packaging

Products must be returned in suitable protective packaging.

Electronic products should be placed in anti-static packaging and protected with sufficient foam or cushioning. Products must not be returned loose, unboxed or unprotected.

The customer is responsible for loss or damage occurring during unauthorized or inadequately packaged return transportation.

We recommend using a trackable and insured shipping service.

6. Inspection and Refunds

Returned products are inspected before any refund is approved.

Approved refunds are normally processed within 5–10 business days after inspection. Bank processing time may vary.

Refunds are made through the original payment method where practicable. Bank charges, currency conversion losses, customs duties and other third-party charges are not refundable unless the return resulted from an error by Apter Power.

Return FAQ

Can I return a product that I no longer need?
You may request a return within 14 days of delivery, but approval is case-by-case and a restocking fee may apply.

Can I send a product back without an RMA?
No. Unauthorized returns may be refused or returned to the sender.

Who pays return shipping?
For non-faulty returns, the customer pays. For a confirmed warranty defect or an Apter Power shipping error, reasonable standard return costs may be reimbursed or arranged by Apter Power.

When will I receive my refund?
Approved refunds are normally processed within 5–10 business days after inspection.

What if the shipment arrived damaged?
Record the damage with the carrier, retain all packaging and notify Apter Power within five calendar days.
Shipping and Delivery Policy

Last Updated: July 23, 2026

Apter Power supplies industrial automation products to customers worldwide. Available shipping methods, estimated dispatch time and shipping costs will be stated in the quotation or order confirmation.

1. Carriers

Unless otherwise agreed, orders are normally shipped by DHL. Depending on the destination, product and customer requirements, we may also use FedEx, UPS, TNT, air freight, sea freight or another suitable logistics provider.

Customers may request shipment using their own carrier account. The carrier information must be provided before dispatch.

2. Dispatch Time

Dispatch estimates begin after:

The order has been accepted;
Full cleared payment has been received;
Required customer information has been supplied; and
Product inspection, testing and packing have been completed.

For available stock, Apter Power aims to dispatch within 1–3 business days. Urgent same-day dispatch may be possible when confirmed by the account manager.

Specially sourced, tested, repaired or factory-ordered products may require additional time. The estimated dispatch date in the quotation or order confirmation takes priority over general website information.

3. Delivery Estimates

Delivery dates are estimates, not guarantees, unless a guaranteed service has been purchased and confirmed in writing.

Delivery time can be affected by:

Customs clearance;
Carrier delays;
Remote-area delivery;
Severe weather;
Public holidays;
Export-control checks;
Incorrect delivery details; or
Events outside Apter Power’s reasonable control.

If a material delay occurs, Apter Power will provide an updated estimate and, where reasonably possible, discuss alternative sourcing or shipping options.

4. Shipping Charges

Product prices do not include shipping, insurance, duties or taxes unless the quotation states otherwise.

Shipping charges are based on product weight, dimensions, destination, carrier and service level. Customers may request package dimensions and estimated weight before confirming an order.

5. Customs, Taxes and Duties

Apter Power provides standard export documents, such as a commercial invoice and packing list.

Unless the quotation states that duties and taxes are included, the recipient is responsible for:

Import duties;
VAT, GST or other local taxes;
Customs brokerage fees;
Import licences; and
Local compliance requirements.

6. Tracking

Tracking information is sent after the carrier collects the shipment. Tracking activation may take several hours.

For freight shipments, the relevant bill of lading or forwarding information will be supplied.

7. Delivery Address Changes

Request any address change before dispatch. Apter Power cannot guarantee address changes after the carrier has collected the shipment.

Additional carrier charges resulting from an incorrect or changed address are the customer’s responsibility.

8. Risk of Loss

Risk and delivery responsibility are determined by the shipping term stated in the quotation or order confirmation.

If the customer appoints its own carrier or freight account, risk normally transfers when the shipment is handed to that carrier, subject to the agreed Incoterm.

Shipping FAQ

Do you ship internationally?
Yes. Apter Power supplies customers worldwide, subject to carrier availability, export controls and local import restrictions.

Can I use my own carrier account?
Yes. Provide the account number and shipping instructions before dispatch.

How long does dispatch take?
Available stock is normally dispatched within 1–3 business days, but the timeframe shown on your quotation controls.

Will I receive tracking information?
Yes. Tracking details are normally sent after carrier collection.

Are duties and taxes included?
Only when expressly stated in the quotation. Otherwise, import charges are the recipient’s responsibility.

How to Order

Last Updated: July 23, 2026

Step 1: Find or Request a Part

Search for the manufacturer or part number on our website.

If the product is not listed, send an enquiry anyway. Apter Power sources current, obsolete, discontinued and hard-to-find industrial automation parts through its global supply network.

Step 2: Provide Your Requirements

For an accurate quotation, provide:

Manufacturer;
Complete part number;
Required quantity;
Preferred condition;
Destination country and postal code;
Required delivery date;
Photos or nameplate information, where available; and
Any required revision, date code, firmware or certification.

Step 3: Receive a Quotation

The quotation will normally state:

Part number and description;
Product condition;
Quantity;
Price and currency;
Stock or sourcing status;
Estimated dispatch time;
Shipping cost and method;
Warranty period;
Payment terms; and
Quotation validity.

Quotations are generally valid for 15–30 calendar days depending on supply conditions, unless a different period is stated.

Step 4: Submit Your Purchase Order

To proceed, reply to your account manager and send a purchase order or written order confirmation.

Please verify the part number, condition, quantity, billing address, delivery address and shipping method before ordering.

Receipt of a purchase order does not automatically mean that the order has been accepted.

Step 5: Order Confirmation and Payment

The order becomes accepted when Apter Power issues a written order confirmation and any required payment has been received.

Standard orders require 100% cleared payment before dispatch. Apter Power does not accept credit cards or provide credit terms.

Step 6: Inspection and Dispatch

Products are inspected and, where technically practicable, tested before dispatch.

Available stock is normally dispatched within 1–3 business days. The dispatch estimate stated in the quotation or order confirmation takes priority.

Step 7: Tracking and Support

Tracking information is sent after carrier collection.

Your account manager remains the main contact for order updates, shipping questions and after-sales support.

How do I submit a part enquiry?
Use the form on the relevant product page or contact Apter Power by email, telephone, WhatsApp or live chat.

Can you quote a part that is not listed?
Yes. Send the complete part number and any available photos or nameplate details.

Can I cancel an order?
Contact your account manager immediately. Cancellation may be possible before a product is sourced, allocated, configured or dispatched. Specially sourced products may be non-cancellable.

Product Condition and Services Information

Last Updated: July 23, 2026

Apter Power supplies current, surplus, obsolete and hard-to-find industrial automation components.

The exact condition of every product will be stated in the quotation or order confirmation.

1. Factory New

A Factory New product is unused and supplied in factory packaging where applicable.

Factory New does not automatically mean that Apter Power is an authorized distributor or that the original manufacturer’s warranty applies. Any manufacturer-backed warranty must be expressly confirmed in writing.

2. New Surplus

A New Surplus product is unused but obtained through an independent or secondary supply channel.

The product may:

Have opened, marked or aged packaging;
Carry an older date code or revision;
Have been stored for an extended period;
Be discontinued by the manufacturer; or
Be supplied without manuals or accessories.

3. Refurbished or Reconditioned

A Refurbished or Reconditioned product has previously been used and has been inspected, cleaned and repaired or serviced where appropriate.

Worn components may be replaced when technically necessary and practicable. Functional testing is completed where suitable test equipment is available.

4. Used

A Used product has previously been installed or operated.

It may show cosmetic wear and may not include original packaging, manuals, cables or accessories. Used products are inspected and tested where technically practicable.

5. Service Exchange

Service Exchange may be available for selected products when expressly stated in a quotation.

Under a service-exchange arrangement, Apter Power supplies a replacement unit and the customer returns an eligible repairable unit within the agreed period. A core charge or additional fee may apply if the returned unit is late, incomplete or beyond economical repair.

6. Repair Services

Repair or evaluation services may be available for selected products.

Availability, repair scope, lead time, price and warranty must be confirmed in writing before the product is sent to Apter Power or a repair partner.

7. Quality Checks

Depending on the product, Apter Power’s quality process may include:

Visual inspection;
Part-number and serial-number verification;
Cleaning;
Anti-static handling;
Functional or power testing;
Packaging inspection; and
Shipping and serial-number records.

The specific test scope may be requested before ordering.

8. Technical Information

Descriptions, specifications and application information are provided for general reference.

Because products may have different revisions, firmware versions and production dates, customers should verify all critical specifications against the original manufacturer’s documentation.

Apter Power does not guarantee that website information is complete or suitable for a particular application.

9. Product Images

Website images may be:

An actual photograph of the available unit;
A photograph of a comparable unit; or
A representative product image.

If packaging, revision, date code, connectors or cosmetic condition are important, request actual-unit photos before ordering.

10. Firmware and Software

Hardware may contain installed firmware, but Apter Power does not guarantee a particular firmware version unless confirmed in writing.

Software licences, operating systems, passwords, configuration files and manufacturer download rights are not included unless expressly stated.

The customer is responsible for obtaining any required legal software licence.

11. Obsolete and Discontinued Products

Apter Power specializes in sourcing obsolete and discontinued products used in legacy automation systems.

Older products may not be the latest revision or date code. Product condition, revision and availability should be confirmed before ordering.

12. Compatibility and Replacement Help

If the correct part number is unknown, send:

A nameplate photo;
Current model number;
Revision;
System or rack information;
Connector photos; and
A description of the application.

Apter Power can help identify possible matches or alternatives, but final compatibility approval remains the customer’s responsibility unless confirmed in writing.

Product and Services FAQ

What types of products do you supply?
We supply PLC, DCS, CNC, HMI, drive, servo, motor, encoder, power-supply and industrial-computer components from current and legacy product families.

Do you sell obsolete products?
Yes. Obsolete and hard-to-find components are a core part of our sourcing service.

Are technical specifications guaranteed?
No. Website specifications are reference information. Verify critical details with the manufacturer’s documentation and your quotation.

Why should I consider a refurbished product?
A refurbished product may provide faster availability and lower cost when a new product is discontinued or has a long lead time.

Do you provide repairs or service exchange?
These services may be available for selected products and must be confirmed in the quotation.

Apter Power Email Marketing Policy

Last updated: July 23, 2026

Apter Power sends product, service, and industry-related marketing emails only where legally permitted. We identify ourselves, use accurate sender and subject information, and provide a clear way to unsubscribe. Marketing preferences do not prevent essential quotation, order, payment, shipping, warranty, return, security, or customer-service communications.

Scope

This Email Marketing Policy applies to newsletters, product and stock-availability updates, service announcements, promotions, industry information, and similar commercial emails sent by or on behalf of Apter Power. It explains how recipients are added, what we send, how email engagement may be measured, and how recipients can unsubscribe or exercise privacy rights.

This policy should be read together with the Apter Power Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. If mandatory law provides a recipient with greater protection, that law controls.

How We Obtain Email Addresses

We may receive a business email address when a person:

Subscribes to a Apter Power newsletter, product alert, or marketing list;
Requests a quotation, product information, sourcing assistance, or customer support and separately agrees to relevant marketing where consent is required;
Becomes a customer or business contact and marketing to that contact is permitted by applicable law;
Provides contact details at a trade event, meeting, or other business interaction and asks for or reasonably expects the specific follow-up; or
Is referred to us and then confirms that Apter Power may send marketing communications.

A publicly available email address is not, by itself, treated as unlimited permission to send marketing. We do not intentionally use unlawfully harvested, deceptively obtained, or non-compliant email lists.

Consent and Other Lawful Grounds

Where consent or a recipient's request is required, Apter Power will seek that consent or request before sending marketing email and will keep an appropriate record. Consent is voluntary and is not a condition of purchasing products or receiving an ordinary quotation.

In jurisdictions that allow business-to-business marketing based on an existing customer relationship or another lawful ground, we may send relevant communications after considering the recipient's reasonable expectations and privacy interests. We will still provide a simple way to object. We do not rely on an existing relationship where local electronic-marketing rules require prior consent.

What Marketing Emails May Include

Newsletters and industrial automation market information;
Product availability, stock, lead-time, replacement, and discontinued-part sourcing updates;
Information about repair, exchange, warranty, logistics, and related services;
New products, supplier or service developments, and event information;
Relevant promotions or commercial offers; and
Requests for feedback about our website, products, or service.

Marketing content is prepared for business and professional recipients. Product availability, price, condition, warranty, lead time, tax treatment, and shipping terms remain subject to the written quotation and order confirmation.

Marketing Emails and Essential Service Emails

Marketing emails are optional. Essential service emails are sent to respond to a request or administer an existing business relationship and may include quotation responses, order confirmations, payment verification, shipping and tracking notices, warranty or return communications, product-safety notices, account-security messages, and replies from customer service.

Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop these necessary non-marketing communications. We will not disguise a promotional email as a transactional or service message.

Sender Identity and Content Standards

Apter Power marketing emails will use accurate sender, reply-to, routing, and subject information. They will identify Apter Power, describe their commercial nature where required, and include a working unsubscribe method. Emails will also contain the sender identification and contact details required by applicable law, including a valid postal address where required.

We do not intentionally use false or misleading headers, deceptive subject lines, concealed sender identities, or an unsubscribe process designed to prevent a valid request.

Frequency and Relevance

Email frequency varies according to the recipient's selections, product interests, business relationship, and the availability of relevant information. We do not guarantee a fixed schedule. We aim to keep marketing proportionate and relevant to industrial automation customers and contacts.

How to Unsubscribe or Object

A recipient may unsubscribe at any time by using the unsubscribe link in a marketing email, replying with a clear request such as "Unsubscribe," or contacting sales13@apterpower.com No fee is charged and the recipient does not need to provide a reason.

We process valid requests promptly and, as an operational standard, no later than 10 business days. A small number of emails already queued before the request may still arrive. If a request is sent from a different address, the recipient should identify the address that must be removed.

After an opt-out, we may retain the minimum email address and suppression record needed to ensure that the address is not accidentally re-added. A suppression record is not used to send new marketing.

Email Analytics and Tracking

Where legally permitted, marketing emails may contain unique links or small tracking pixels that help us understand delivery, opens, clicks, device or browser type, approximate location derived from an IP address, and interactions with linked website pages. We use this information to measure performance, reduce irrelevant messages, maintain security, and improve content.

Email software, privacy settings, image blocking, and similar technology may prevent or make these measurements inaccurate. Recipients may block remote images, adjust email privacy settings, or unsubscribe. Website cookies and similar technologies are described in the Cookie Policy.

Service Providers and International Processing

We may use email-delivery platforms, customer relationship management systems, hosting providers, security providers, and analytics services to operate email communications. These providers may process email addresses, subscription records, delivery data, and engagement information only for authorized purposes and subject to appropriate confidentiality, security, and data-protection requirements.

Because Apter Power serves international customers, relevant information may be processed across borders. We apply legally required notices, contractual measures, consents, or other safeguards for an international transfer where applicable.

Retention and Privacy Rights

We retain subscription and consent records, campaign history, engagement information, and suppression records only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, to comply with law, resolve disputes, demonstrate compliance, and honour marketing objections.

Subject to applicable law, a recipient may request access to or correction or deletion of personal information, withdraw consent, or object to direct marketing and certain processing. Requests may be sent to sales13@apterpower.com We may take reasonable steps to verify identity before completing a privacy request.

Security and Fraud Prevention

Apter Power accepts payment only by bank wire transfer in the invoiced currency: RMB/CNY, GBP, EUR, or USD. A marketing email will not be used to demand payment, request passwords, or announce an unverified change of bank account.

Before paying, customers must compare the payment details with the formal quotation or pro forma invoice and independently verify any unexpected bank-detail change through the official contact information on https://www.apterpower.com/ Do not use a phone number supplied only in a suspicious email.

Children

Apter Power provides industrial automation products and services to business customers. Our marketing communications are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly subscribe a person under 18 to a marketing list.

Policy Changes and Contact

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our email practices, technology, or legal obligations. The revised version applies from the last-updated date shown on the page. Material changes will be communicated where required by law.

Questions, complaints, unsubscribe requests, and privacy requests may be sent to sales13@apterpower.com or discussed by phone or WhatsApp at +86 180 3023 5313

Apter Power Tax, VAT and Import Information

Last updated: July 23, 2026

Tax treatment depends on the invoicing entity, shipping origin, delivery destination, and agreed Incoterm. Orders delivered within mainland China are subject to applicable PRC value-added tax (VAT). For international shipments, destination-country import duties, import VAT/GST, brokerage, and similar charges are normally the customer's responsibility unless the written quotation expressly states otherwise.

Scope and Order of Precedence

This page explains Apter Power's standard tax, VAT, customs, and invoicing treatment for business customers. The exact tax treatment for an order is determined by applicable law and the invoicing entity, shipping origin, destination, product classification, and Incoterm shown on the written quotation, pro forma invoice, order confirmation, or commercial invoice.

If this page conflicts with mandatory law, mandatory law controls. If an order requires a special tax or customs arrangement, it must be reviewed and confirmed in writing before the order is accepted.

Orders Delivered Within Mainland China

A sale invoiced by a PRC entity and delivered within mainland China is subject to PRC VAT at the rate or levy rate required by current law and the seller's taxpayer status. Industrial automation parts sold by a PRC general VAT taxpayer are generally subject to the standard 13% VAT rate. A different lawful treatment may apply where the seller has a different taxpayer status or the transaction qualifies for a specific rule.

Unless the quotation expressly states that VAT is included, prices are quoted exclusive of applicable VAT. The quotation and invoice will show the tax treatment applied to the order.

Export Orders Shipped Outside Mainland China

Goods lawfully exported from mainland China may qualify for PRC VAT zero-rating, exemption, or export refund treatment, subject to the product, customs declaration, supporting documents, filing deadlines, and the invoicing entity's eligibility. Apter Power will apply the treatment required for the actual transaction.

A zero-rated or export-tax treatment in China does not mean the shipment is tax-free in the destination country. The importing country may still charge customs duty, import VAT, GST, sales tax, brokerage, handling fees, or other government charges.

Orders shipped from another disclosed sourcing or fulfilment location follow the tax, customs, and invoicing rules applicable to the actual invoicing entity, shipping origin, destination, and agreed Incoterm.

Import Duties and Destination-Country Taxes

Unless the written quotation expressly includes a different arrangement, the customer is the importer of record and is responsible for:

Customs duties and tariff charges;
Import VAT, GST, sales tax, or similar destination taxes;
Customs brokerage, clearance, storage, examination, and handling fees;
Import licences, permits, product registrations, and local compliance costs; and
Taxes or fees assessed after delivery or reassessment by a customs or tax authority.

Apter Power normally does not act as the customer's importer of record. Any DDP, tax-prepaid, or duty-prepaid service must be expressly quoted and accepted in writing before shipment.

Tax-Exempt and Resale Certificates

Foreign sales-tax exemption certificates, resale certificates, VAT numbers, or tax-exempt organization documents do not automatically exempt an order from PRC VAT and do not remove destination-country import taxes. Unlike a US state sales-tax exemption system, PRC VAT exemptions are based on Chinese law and the facts of the transaction, not solely on a customer's foreign exemption certificate.

If a customer believes a specific statutory exemption applies, the customer must send the supporting documents before quotation acceptance. Apter Power may request additional evidence and will confirm in writing whether the requested treatment can be applied. No exemption is effective until it has been approved in writing for the specific order.

Invoices and Supporting Documents

Mainland China orders: A PRC VAT invoice may be issued where required and permitted. The customer may be asked for its full legal name, Unified Social Credit Code or taxpayer identification number, registered address and telephone number, bank and account information, and invoice-delivery email.

International orders: Apter Power normally provides a pro forma invoice before payment and a commercial invoice and packing list for export and import clearance.

Additional documents: Certificates of origin, legalization, chamber certification, special customs statements, or other non-standard documents must be requested before order confirmation and may involve additional charges or lead time.

The customer is responsible for checking whether the documents meet its local import, accounting, and tax requirements before the order is finalized.

Prices, Payment Currencies, and Tax Accounting

Product prices exclude shipping, insurance, customs duties, destination-country taxes, and import charges unless the written quotation expressly states otherwise. Payment is accepted only by bank wire transfer in the exact invoiced currency: RMB/CNY, GBP, EUR, or USD. No other currencies are accepted.

Under PRC VAT rules, sales settled in a foreign currency are converted into RMB for Chinese tax accounting. This tax conversion does not change the customer's obligation to pay the exact currency and full amount stated on the invoice. Bank and currency-conversion charges are not taxes and remain the customer's responsibility.

Customs Value and Trade Compliance

Commercial and customs documents must accurately describe the goods, transaction value, quantity, origin, and other required information. Apter Power will not declare a false value, mark a commercial shipment as a gift, use an intentionally incorrect classification, or provide misleading documents to reduce tax or duty.

Any HS code or country-of-origin information provided by Apter Power is based on available product and sourcing information. The customer or its customs broker remains responsible for confirming the final import classification, admissibility, and local tax treatment.

Returns, Refunds, and Tax Adjustments

Product returns require prior authorization under the Returns Policy. If a taxable mainland China sale is cancelled, reduced, or returned, any VAT adjustment, invoice cancellation, or red-letter invoice will be handled in accordance with PRC tax rules. The customer must provide reasonable cooperation and return or correct documents where required.

Approved product refunds are made by bank wire transfer to the original payer in the original invoiced currency. Import duties, import VAT/GST, brokerage, and other amounts paid to foreign authorities or third parties are not refunded by Apter Power. The customer must apply to the relevant authority or service provider where a refund is available.

Policy Updates and Tax Advice

Tax and customs rules may change. Apter Power may update this page and will apply the rules in force for the actual transaction. This page is general customer information and is not personal tax or legal advice. Customers should obtain advice from their own tax or customs adviser for destination-country obligations.
Frequently Asked Questions

Do you charge Chinese VAT?
For an order invoiced by a PRC entity and delivered within mainland China, applicable PRC VAT is charged. Industrial automation goods sold by a PRC general VAT taxpayer are generally subject to 13% VAT, but the exact lawful treatment is shown on the quotation and invoice.

Is VAT included in the website or quotation price?
Not unless the written quotation expressly says that VAT is included. The quotation will identify the applicable tax treatment.

Are export orders free of all taxes?
No. A shipment may receive zero-rated, exempt, or export-refund treatment for PRC VAT, but the destination country may still charge customs duty, import VAT/GST, brokerage, and other fees.

Who pays customs duties and import VAT?
The customer or importer of record normally pays them unless the written quotation expressly includes a duty-paid or tax-prepaid arrangement.

Can Apter Power ship DDP?
Only when DDP or another tax-prepaid arrangement is specifically reviewed, quoted, and confirmed in writing before shipment. It is not the default shipping term.

Can I use a US resale certificate or foreign tax-exemption certificate?
You may send it for review, but it does not automatically remove PRC VAT or destination-country import taxes. Any exemption must be legally available and approved in writing for the specific order.

Can you issue a Chinese VAT invoice (fapiao)?
Where required and legally permitted for a mainland China transaction, a PRC VAT invoice can be issued using the verified customer and order information. Provide complete invoicing details before payment.

What documents are supplied for an international shipment?
Apter Power normally supplies a pro forma invoice before payment and a commercial invoice and packing list for shipment. Request any certificate of origin, legalization, or other special document before order confirmation.

Can you declare a lower customs value or mark the shipment as a gift?
No. Customs documents must accurately state the commercial transaction and goods.

What happens when goods ship from another location?
The tax and customs treatment follows the actual invoicing entity, shipping origin, destination, product, and Incoterm stated in the quotation or shipping documents.

Which currencies do you accept?
Only RMB/CNY, GBP, EUR, and USD by bank wire transfer. Pay the exact currency stated on the quotation and invoice.

Can Apter Power refund customs duty or import VAT after a return?
No. Amounts paid to customs authorities, tax authorities, brokers, or carriers are not held by Apter Power. The customer must request any available refund from the relevant authority or provider.
